Bright futures for children begin with great child care both at home and away.
CCAP offers programs for children and their parents that focus on early childhood education and development, mental and physical health, safety, nutrition, family engagement, and parenting.
Our Head Start programs promotes the school readiness of children from birth to age 5. Children that participate in our child care programs receive numerous benefits that last a lifetime. These programs provide a learning environment that supports the child's growth in several areas, such as language, literacy, social and emotional development. Children are involved in engaging interactions and learn to get along with others. Our goal is to teach children to be ready to enter kindergarten with the skills that they need academically, socially and emotionally. Parents are also an important part of preparing their child for kindergarten. Teachers help parents understand what their child needs to know before entering kindergarten and the skills that their child will learn to prepare them for the kindergarten level.
Early Head Start provides services for pregnant women, as well as infants and toddlers. This program serves the family until the child reaches age 3 and is prepared to advance to another pre-k program. This particular program is designed to promote development support for infants, toddlers and parents. In this program teachers establish a partnership with both mothers and fathers to promote the child's development. Health care services are a focus because good health is important to the child's development. All children receive nutritious meals, development screenings, mental health support and medical and oral care. Families are connected with health care services that are needed for the child's physical and mental wellbeing. This program is extremely important, because what is learned in the child's earliest years of life, shapes the child's future growth and development.
The child care programs that CCAP offers, provides environments that are positive for the child's progress and development. The programs focus on academic skills and social and mental development that is needed to be ready for kindergarten, but the skills that are developed at this early age have long term effects. The experiences learned in this program, not only prepares the child to transition to kindergarten, but it gives them skills that will last for life.
Donations are what helps CCAP to continue providing the services that are given. There are several ways to donate. A great way to donate is to become a corporate sponsor. You can also donate through donation organizations such as United Way, if your work place offers a giving campaign.
